Jane Shersher, LCSW

Jane is the CEO of Ava. She graduated from the premier occupational therapy program in the country at Boston University prior to obtaining her graduate degree in medical social work at Loyola. As a licensed clinical social worker, Jane has provided therapeutic intervention for a broad range of populations & settings. She is passionate about the intersection between mind, body, & the working environment.

David Primer

As Chief Data Officer, David heads Ava's data analytics offerings, focusing on anticipatory data for clients as well as Ava's business strategy. He holds a master’s degree in molecular biology & a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. David is also a Certified Business Intelligence Professional & has spent the last several years developing algorithms for hedge funds to find edge in the market while mitigating risk.

Iris Ravid

With extensive international healthcare & psychology experience in institutions such as Northwestern Medicine & Rush University Medical Center, Iris oversees the development & implementation of healthcare programs for Ava's clients by managing & training vendors, coordinating service implementation & offering guidance to clients when needed.


Irit Marckfeld

Irit has an MA in clinical social work. Her work experience includes implemention of a variety of therapeutic techniques within international social service settings. Irit helps to design & implement Ava's behavioral health curriculum as well as select & train vendors in order to ensure that Ava programming will be clinically effective & impactful. Irit heads Ava projects in Israel. 

Doreen Green

Doreen holds a master’s degree in business administration & clinical psychology, including over 10 years of experience in the field of social services & non‐profit community-based programming. She helps to design & administer the behavioral health components of Ava’s services in Chicago. 


Daniel Levner

Daniel Levner is Emulate’s Chief Technology Officer. Levner served as Senior Staff Scientist with the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University, where he led the advanced engineering team responsible for developing Emulate’s Organs-on-Chips platform. Levner has worked with world-renowned Harvard geneticist Prof. George M. Church and has co-founded a medical diagnostics startup company in Israel as well as an optical telecommunications startup company. Levner received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering & an M.S. in aeronautics & astronautics from Stanford University. He guides Ava in successful decision making regarding navigating startup growth in the healthcare economy. 

Ken has over two decades of operational & strategic experience in a variety of industries including military, consumer packaged goods, manufacturing, management consulting, clean technology, retail energy services & financial services. Ken is the CEO of Eligo Energy. He has held executive management positions with several financial institutions including President of SmartPay Consumer Leasing, Senior Vice President of Global Development at Enova International, & senior management positions at Advance America Cash Advance Centers & Wachovia Bank. He was a consultant with McKinsey & Co & Welch Foods, & was a nuclear-trained submarine officer in the U.S. Navy.

Ken holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Yuriy Shefer

Yuriy is an international tax analyst with experience from Career Builder, Kelssler Orlean Silver, & Grant Thornton LLP. Yuriy's background & passion for tech & knowledge of accounting helps Ava to regulate its resources regarding technology, budgets, & business development. Yuriy is currently a full stack software engineer at Foresee in San Fransisco.

David Mittelman

David served as a Submarine Sonar Technician for the U.S. Navy followed by work in technology spaces like media companies, defense contractors & government agencies. His experience spans from hardware & software development to project management. David is the Founder of 4th Law. He advises Ava regarding its technology strategy & implementation

Charles Russman

Mr. Russman serves as Ava’s legal consult. His specialties include: enterprise procurement, intellectual property, insurance, tax, workplace law, negotiation of agreements for products, services, & software, union retirement, & regulatory compliance. He helps companies to maintain proper employee benefits & trainings to protect customer data. Charles was named a 2014 "Top Lawyer" by DBusiness magazine & is a certified yoga instructor.

Yoni Gold

Yoni holds an MA in Industrial & Organizational Psychology as well as an MBA from Roosevelt University. Yoni has also recieved a rabbinic ordination from the Rabbi Isaac Elchonon Theological Seminary. He assists Ava in designing scientifically sound assessments regarding content procurement & validation testing, therefore helping Ava to offer evidence based services.

Bill Sacco

Bill has 20 years of experience in film & broadcast television. He has edited & shot programming for American Medical Television, Lions Club International, Discovery Channel & the Oprah Winfrey Show. Bill founded MotionEmotion Pictures & is active in independent film production. In his spare time, Bill teaches inner city youth how to film documentaries. Bill offers guidance for Ava's video training programming & media management.

Hugh O’Donnell

Hugh has been Professor of Painting at Boston University’s College of Fine Arts since 1996. He is a internationally recognized modern artist focusing mainly on site specific art. Hugh offers consultation for interior re-design of inefficient workspace in order to introduce inspiration & healthy behavior change amongst company employees.
